Air hygiene for the meat production industry

Air hygiene in meat production is necessary to guarantee optimal meat qualit. During production the meat products can easily be contaminated by air-borne germs and moulds that can be found on products, work surfaces and packaging. Hygiene standard regulations, quality control and the required shelf life can only be assured in a germ-free environment.

Quality and safety with WESSOGREEN® AIR

The agent WESSOGREEN® AIR meets food law requirements and effectively reduces bacteria and mould in the air during production and storage. In doing so a continously superior hygiene standard is reached during the production and processing of meat and meat products. Food quality is improved, production loss is reduced.

Applications in the meat production industry

Sterilisation of ventilation systems, production and packaging areas

WESSOGREEN® AIR is emitted into the air within the ventialtion system after the air-filter elements and is distributed in the air flow. The air ventilation ducts are permanently kept freee of bacteria and germs inthe air and the microbiological contamination of the air supply is eliminated.

Furthermore, the aerosols of the agents are distributed into the ventilated production areas and reduce germs there which have been caused by employees, product flow or cross-contamination.

The agent WESSOGREEN® is emitted into the air within cold rooms and storage rooms. The agent is ditributed in the air by the air flow of the refrigeration system, thus reducing bacteria and spores. This has a very positive effect on the products.

Moisture in the air condenses on the cooling fin of the refrigeration system. This moisture contains a slight amount of WESSOGREEN® AIR, therefore also minimizing the development of micro organism within the refrigeration units.

Through the air ventialtion duct of the air conditioning the aerosol is distributed into the air and eliminates the load of bacteria and germs before they cause any harm on the products.

Pre-sterilisation of packaging material

Before filling and portioning, the agent is emitted into the air within the packaging machine. The packaging material is rinsed thoroughly with conditioned air. Consequently germs on the packaging material within the machine are reduced.

Sterilisation of filling machines

The agent WESSOGREEN® AIR is emitted into the air within the filling machine where it is disseminated on the product flow. During production WESSOGREEN® AIR eliminates germs and bacteria in the air.
